Donation Turn Over Ceremony | Asia Tatler Dining
MANILA, PHILIPPINES (September 2013) – On the 16th of September, Oakwood Premier Joy~Nostalg Center held an intimate donation turnover ceremony with Asia Tatler Dining in support of the latter’s recently concluded Charity Week where the former’s signature restaurant, Oakroom, was one of the participants.
This year’s beneficiary for Asia Tatler Dining’s Charity Week is the Philippines Down Syndrome Association. Oakroom’s special Australian-inspired set lunch or dinner called Charlie’s menu was named after General Manager Rick Erdos’ son who has the condition.
“We are delighted on behalf of our extended family here at Oakwood Premier Joy~Nostalg Center to be involved in such a wonderful charity. Our son Charlie has Down Syndrome and we trust that our donation will benefit the association and the cause,” said Rick Erdos, General Manager.
Asia Tatler Dinining’s Charity Week ran from August 16-24 and proceeds to the function will support the operations of the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines.

A Media Lunch was held last 12 September at Oakroom to kick-off the latest food promotion: Tasty, Tangy, Totally Korean.

Monthly, Mr Rick Erdos, our General Manager hosts a cocktail party for in-house guests to show appreciation for their patronage and to get to know them as well. This month’s get-together was well attended by in-house guests and our long staying residents.

Executive Chef, Jerome Cartailler crafted an Australian-inspired menu for the Charity Week wherein 20% of the proceeds will go to this year’s beneficiary— the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines. “We are delighted on behalf of our extended family here at Oakwood Premier Joy Nostalg Center to be involved in such a wonderful charity. Our son Charlie has Down Syndrome and we trust that patrons will join with us in supporting Charity Week by opting for the set menu whilst in Oakroom,” said Rick Erdos, General Manager.
Dine out for Down and get started with the sumptuous three-course menu with Cobb Chopped salad with ranch dressing or Prawn cocktail. Get ready to have a delicious dilemma with the three main-course attractions. Charlie’s Tropical-Burger with bacon, fried egg, lettuce, whopper tomato and pineapple, fries and coleslaw, Aussie Bangers and homemade mashed potatoes, peas and carrots or Fish and Chips served with cider vinegar, fries and side salad.
